What size is my dog?
We
cannot tell you your pet’s size based on its breed or weight, as all dogs
come in many different shapes and sizes - just like their owners. We suggest you consult the web
page “measuring” to determine the correct size to order.
Do
I need to provide measurements for my purchase?
Customers do not need to provide measurements, however measuring your dog
will ensure you receive a proper fit for your dog. Like people, dogs come
in all shapes and sizes; even within their own breed they can be
dramatically different in size or proportion. Delivery time is still the same and we only
charge a small fee for custom making your dog’s coat so they can experience
the perfect fit. If you have any questions concerning measuring refer to

we will be happy to help you.
How do I get my dog to wear boots?
If
your dog is a first time wearer of boots he/she will probably walk around
like they have oven mitts on their paws. This is natural and will quickly
disappear once you have the dog outside in the snow. Instincts seem to
kick-in and they will quickly realize that the boots enable them to enjoy
running and walking without snow accumulating in their pads and making
their paws cold. Sometimes, persistence will be needed on the part of the
owner who may need to repeat putting the boots on everyday until the dog
gets used to them. Tip: Put the boots on JUST BEFORE going outdoors. Once
outdoors the focus is not on the boots but the next fire hydrant.
Why does Canine Cachet charge extra for a custom order?
In order for us to create
your custom order, our staff goes through many additional steps beyond those of making a standard sized garment.
These include creating a custom pattern from the measurements you provide that is used exclusively
for your order, checking the fit of the garment numerous times through-out the construction process, and
additional Quality Assurance checks to ensure that the finished piece matches your measurments exactly.
In short, anything we can do to ensure your faithful companion recieves the Perfect Fit.
How do I clean my Canine Cachet garments?
Here
are some guidelines for cleaning the different fabrics:
Terrycloth – machine-wash in cool water. Cool dryer.
Boots - Please refer to the specific fabric your boots are constructed from.
Faux Fur – recommend dry cleaning only.
Faux Leather – wipe exterior with a damp cloth. Hand-wash in cool
water if the inside of the coat requires cleaning. Do not wring or put in
dryer. Lay flat to dry.
Faux Sheepskin - hand-wash in cool water and rinse thoroughly. Cool
dryer or lay flat to dry. Use iron on low setting to press if needed.
Fleece – hand-wash in cool water and rinse thoroughly. Cool dryer or
lay flat to dry. Use iron on low setting to press if needed.
Lounging Bodysuit – hand-wash in cool water and rinse thoroughly. Cool
dryer or lay flat to dry. Use iron on low setting to press if needed.
Medical Scrubs – Pre-treat stains with your laundry stain remover.
Machine-wash in cool water. Cool dryer.
Raincoat – hand-wash in cool water and rinse thoroughly. Lay flat to
dry. Use iron on low setting to press if needed.
Sweatshirt - machine wash in cool water. Cool dryer.
Each garment is also shipped with a garment care tag for your reference
